In 1917 the Bathurst House Hospital had 29 beds for wounded and sick officers.  It was affiliated to Queen Alexandra's Military Hospital in Millbank. 

The Commandant was Jean Templeton, the Hon. Lady Ward, who was also Commandant for the Ward Hospital in Reigate.


This building is recorded as having been used as an auxiliary military hospital during WW1.  No further details have (as yet) come to light.

Present status (May 2010)

The Grade I listed building is now part of the Portuguese Embassy.
