Convalescent (military)

In January 1917 Mrs Holdsworth opened her house as an auxiliary hospital at her own expense.  It provided accommodation for 8 convalescent officers.

The Hospital closed in June 1917.


Present status (June 2010)

Great Stanhope Street had been renamed Stanhope Gate.  No. 14 is now an office block used by the pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca.
