During WW1 (1914-1918) the Hounslow Military Hospital in the Cavalry Barracks had one bed for an officer (preumably in the Barracks Hospital) and 138 beds for other ranks in hutted wards.

The Barracks buildings can be seen from the north from Beaversfield Park (above and below).  Among them will be the Grade II listed Hospital building (Building 41).
