Convalescent (military)

The Westbourne Hospital opened on 28th April 1915 as a Class B auxiliary hospital to the Third London (T.F.) General Hospital.  It had 60 beds.

The nursing staff consisted of 1 trained nurse, and 13 full-time and 5 part-time members of the local Voluntary Aid Detachment.

The Hospital closed on 31st May 1919.


Present status (April 2010)

The original building has been replaced by a semi-detached house.
