Convalescent (military)
In October 1914 Mr and Mrs H.D. Keif set up four beds in their home at No. 88 Hayes Road, for use by the Kent/52 Voluntary Aid Detachment as an annexe for the Masonic Hall Auxiliary Hospital.

The Hospital closed in 1915 when the Auxiliary Home Hospital opened at Elstree in  Westmoreland Road.

Present status (November 2010)

The semi-detached house is still in existence and is a private residence.
