The Hamilton Auxiliary Hospital for Officers was opened by Mrs Hamilton in April 1918 after her husband was killed in the war.

The Hospital had 20 beds and was staffed almost wholly by part-timers.  It was run by the London/40 Voluntary Aid Detachment, whose Commandant was Lady Burford-Hancock.

It closed in 1920.


Present status (July 2010)

The building has been converted into apartments.
