Geriatric
In 1945 the newly established charity Hill Homes Ltd purchased No. 2 Broadlands Road for use as a retirement home for the elderly.

The large Victorian mansion was extended in 1949  and was later named Trees.

Present status (February 2009)

The building has had various extensions added to it, but there is no direct evidence that it is operating as a nursing home.

Update:  May 2015

The existing buildings on the site were deemed no longer fit for purpose and were demolished.  A new modern nursing home with 40 'extra-care' apartments for over-55-year-olds has been built on the site of Nos. 2-4 in 2011.
