The Brentford Isolation Hospital opened in 1891 in Clayponds Lane, near the Ealing Sewage Works.  It had cost £2,900 and had 48 beds.

In 1921 it was annexed to the nearby Ealing and Chiswick Isolation Hospital in Occupation Lane.

Present status (April 2008)

The site now contains Claypond Gardens, a housing estate.  Clayponds Lane is now Clayponds Avenue.

The old wall along Occupation Lane, shown in the foreground in the image on the left, may be a relic from the former  Hospital site.
