Manning Place Almshouses

10-18 Manning Place, Grove Road, Richmond, TW10 6LJ

 

The Almshouses were officially opened on 13th September 2018 by the Mayor of Richmond.

The apartment block, built in 1993, was purchased for £4,918,977 by the Richmond Charities in 2017 and refurbished as modern almshouses.

 

Current status

The apartment block contains nine almshouses - six with two bedrooms and three with single bedrooms - all fitted with aids and adaptations to assist the elderly residents.

Applicants must be over 65 years of age, have a limited income and must be capable of living independently. They must also have lived in the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames for at least the last five years.

Manning Place Almshouses

The building, at the foot of Manning Place, a cul-de-sac, backs on to Queen's Road, but is accessed from Grove Road to the south.
