No. 22 Stanhope Road was acquired by Hill Homes Ltd sometime between the years 1945-1947.  It became the Stanhope Residential Club, a nursing home for the elderly.  It was later renamed Stanhope Lodge.

The home closed in 1967, when Homfray House opened at No. 4 Broadlands Road.

Present status (May 2015)

The property was sold in 1968  to raise funds for the charity, which wanted to build more accessible accommodation for the elderly.

The street has been renumbered and No. 22 is now No. 48.
